jUJU Woods

A versatile dance artist, choreographer, and educator driven by compassion, creativity, and a deep commitment to community. With over 20 years of experience in performance, choreography, and arts outreach, she began her professional dance career at the age of eight, working with artists and companies across the country in both commercial and theatrical settings.

​

Rooted in contemporary dance, Jurusha’s work blends technical precision with storytelling, using movement as a tool for emotional expression, connection, and transformation. She has performed with and held leadership roles in organizations including Sacramento Black Art of Dance, Black Dance Collective, Without Boundaries Dance Company, and the Stars National Dance Team.

 

​Passionate about accessibility and empowerment, she has taught diverse dance styles to youth and adults, including underserved communities and individuals with disabilities.

​

Through performance, education, and service, Jurusha creates inclusive, expressive spaces where movement fosters healing, storytelling, and community connection.
